Getting Started

Installation — Download Larkiro for your platform (macOS/Windows) and follow the setup wizard. The app is free to install — you can try it out before purchasing credits.
First Run — Launch the app and you're ready to go. No API keys or provider setup needed — cloud generation is automatic.
Creating Your First Song — Navigate to the Create tab, enter your inspiration, select style preferences, and click Generate. Your finished track will appear in the Works library.

Text-to-Song — Describe your musical idea in plain words. The AI lyricist engine analyses your intent, writes structured lyrics with verse/chorus tags, then generates the full song with music, vocals and mixing.
AI Cover & Voice Clone — Upload a reference track and clone your voice. AI re-performs the song in your own timbre. Supports style covers and full vocal replacement.
Album Creation — Set a theme and tone, AI plans the track list with consistent style across tracks. Fine-tune each track individually, then one-click batch generate from concept to complete album.
Batch Generation — Add inspiration rows (up to 50), AI refines them in batch, queue production with auto quality scoring. Background processing survives app restarts.

How Credits Work — A complete song costs 42 credits in High Quality mode (40 music + 2 lyrics) or 12 credits in Economy mode (10 music + 2 lyrics). High Quality is the default. No expiry under current policy.
Credit Packs — Four packs available: Starter ($3.99 / 120 credits ≈ 2 HQ or 10 Economy songs), Standard ($9.99 / 600 ≈ 14 HQ or 50 Economy), Creator ($29.99 / 2,500 ≈ 59 HQ or 208 Economy), Studio ($59.99 / 6,000 ≈ 142 HQ or 500 Economy).

Slow Generation — Check your internet connection and credit balance. Cloud generation typically takes 30–120 seconds per song depending on complexity.
Cover & Clone Issues — Ensure your voice sample is clear and noise-free. For covers, use a reference track with clean vocals. The sample recording feature helps test quality before cloning.
App Crashes — Update to the latest version. If issues persist, try clearing the cache in Settings > Advanced.
Quality Issues — Be specific in your prompts about mood, instruments, tempo and vocal style. The system auto-scores each track and retries below-threshold results.

Managing Projects — Organize your generated tracks in the Works tab. You can rename, tag, and export individual tracks.
Optimizing Credits — Start with the Starter pack to test your workflow. For regular creation, the Standard pack offers the best value — about $0.70 per HQ song or $0.20 per Economy song. Batch generation maximizes efficiency.

How do I update the app? — Larkiro checks for updates automatically. When a new version is available, you'll see a notification in the app and can install with one click.
Do I need API keys? — No. Larkiro handles all AI generation through our cloud service. Just download and create — no API keys, no provider accounts, no configuration needed.
How do credits work? — High Quality (music-2.6, default) = 42 credits per complete song; Economy (music-1.5) = 12 credits. Lyrics cost 2 credits per use; no expiry under current policy. Standard pack: $9.99 for 600 credits ≈ 14 HQ or 50 Economy songs.
Can I use generated music commercially? — You own the output. Commercial use is permitted subject to the terms of the AI engines used. Always check applicable terms before commercial distribution.
Is my data secure? — Generation requests go through our cloud service to our AI engines. Finished tracks are downloaded to your desktop. Voice clone samples are streamed through our service and not kept on our servers. Our Privacy Policy lists every provider involved.
What file formats are supported? — Input: MP3, WAV, FLAC for audio; MP4, MOV, AVI for video. Output: MP3 with embedded ID3 lyrics and companion .lrc files.
